CEDAF is the largest health center dedicated to wildlife in Île de France (Paris area) and the first French training center to care for wildlife.
End of 2013, Professor Courreau, founder of CEDAF, and devoted volonteers, created the ALFORT WILDLIFE Association to support the actions of care, training and public information for wildlife of Ile de France.
CEDAF hosted 3246 animals in 2015, as mammals (hedgehogs, squirrels, foxes, deers, …), city birds (pigeons, crows, blackbirds, sparrows, swans …) and raptors (hawks, buzzards, falcons , owls …), gathering all of the biodiversity of this region.
These animals are brought to the center by the municipal services, pounds, firefighters, but more often by individuals – walkers, passers-by, gardeners – who discover these animals in distress.
Recently, we were able to visit them, and we were very pleased to meet all those people who collect, and care for animals with such attention !
